As this patch will include Carrier testing, we’ll need to rack up some points, maybe a little PVP to farm, protect and escort haulers etc.
-
Then, when we can afford carriers, test out the mobile spawn mechanics, repair / rearm, assault some stations, take out some enemy haulers, etc.
We are likely to stream a portion of the event on the I-Novae YouTube channel

Balance the teams more this time around, as we’ll have larger server population for the weekend.
-
With a larger server polulation we can test some of the larger gameplay dynamics, especially between attacker and defender.
-
Then, when we can afford carriers, test out the mobile spawn mechanics, repair / rearm, get some rough support / squad based play happening, defend, attack, etc.
We are likely to stream a portion of the event on the I-Novae YouTube channel
If you don’t yet have access to the Beta, you can pledge via the www.inovaestudios.com/battlescape page, or upgrade your pledge via your I-Novae Account settings page, under “products”

Seriously, Sunday? Does nobody here work Mondays?
For me that’s a 12 noon start time, so it’s likely only workable for people in North America. For people that work Mondays in Europe it’s probably the worst time possible.
So why even put that as an option if you are excluding a continent or two?
i can do Saturday 1900 onwards uk time. sunday probably manage any time during the day
Do not be a madman and do not organise on a Sunday, even super late Saturday is fine as you can pull nearly an all-nighter and just recover on Sunday before the hell that is work on Monday.
Sure, Sunday is the worst option there, but I can manage playing from 21:00 to 23:00.
I-Novae Community Event
This event will focus on PVP gameplay, built around Squads (Player driven organization)
We’ll think about the different tools and features that would be useful while play testing. Think of it as a live brainstorming session with the community

See you in game fellow pilots!

I can re-enable the smaller Battlescape for these events - should keep the action more packed and focused, if people agree with it. Let me know if that’s a good idea
I’ll also schedule a small patch prior to the event, with a few “quality of life” improvements.
What do you call “smaller battlescapes” ?
The game takes place in a huge star system. Each Battlescape is a planet and its moon where a match takes place. In the current beta, it’s the gas giant and its 4 moons. But there’s another, smaller setup with 2 planets and fewer bases only, which would fit better a low player count. When the game releases and eventually reaches a higher player count, the star system will have multiple Battlescapes in various locations, increasing complexity/size with player count.
