So, this has taken quite a while, but the connection has been built as specified. Connects to Cheston and extends the coal line. This means you have to switch trains in Cheston if you wish to continue on the main line.
For some reason, the map isn’t updating my floating city…
Shit, that means I need to go and tidy the place up some more now I might actually get visitors.
Well, a story of mass homicide from survival today! 6 men down to 1, plus Lomsor transforming into a female…! What next?!
I was on creative and tried to paste a schematic, but it said “You do not have permission to do that. Are you sure you are in the right mode?”

##Basics and Features
At Infinite Infinity you have a lot of additional features and tools at your disposal that can add a lot to the standard Minecraft experience, if you know that they are there and how to use them.
We both have a Creative World and the Exa Hardcore World for you to play in. You can switch between them at any time and keep your progress.
When joining the server you’ll find yourself on the creative world, the one from the map. You can wander arround, marvel at the creations and start your own!
There are also two time “zones” in the creative world. Past (medieval/fantasy) and future (modern times). You can access the future area through the Temple of Time and it’s Nether Portal system. (or by just warping there)
Type /spawn at any time to get back to the spawn. When switching between worlds you may need to type it twice.
You can find a sign at the spawn showing you the way to the Hardcore Portal. It isn’t far, just jump in and you’ll be in living hell.
You can protect your creations with Factions.
Create a faction with /f create {name} invite others with /f invite {name} and claim land with /f claim. That land is then secure from strangers until your faction gets disbanded. That usually happens due to inactivity (several weeks), allowing others to continue where you left of.
You can chat privately with /m {to} {message} or switch FactionChat channels with /fc.
Use WorldEdit as a tool of the creative player, to create huge areas with a pletoria of tools and brushes. Save structures for later and much more. Requires permission. If you are new and want to build a big project, start creating the base elements and then ask me for permissions for WE.
Movecraft! Create crafts like Ships, Airships, Airplanes with TNT canons torpedos and fire weapons. Or just transport vehicles that you can pilot! Portcullis, gates and cars are also possible. See a list of craft types and their block limitations here. You will need this information to build any crafts on the server.
Craft types and _permissions_
Following crafts can be used as a default player:- Airskiff
- Portcullis
Following crafts need permission:
- Airplane
- (Slow)Airship
- Car
- Gate
- (Launch)Rocket
- (Launch)Torpedo
- Ship
- SubAirship
- SubAirskiff
- Submarine
- Turret
- WMD
Some more useful tools and info available:
- /warp, use it to get arround fast. /setwarp {name} for a new warp. Setwarp needs permission.
- Lift - Build smooth elevators. Any shape. Easy and no commands. Great for skyscrapers!
- SignDoctor - Edit signs after you placed them, copy text, etc…
- Building of dangerously destructive materials like TNT or Lava is prohibited as default on the creative world. Ask for permission to be allowed to build those materials.
Chat colour and symbols:
- If there’s a coloured # in front of the chat message, means it comes from the Exa Hardcore World. Colour determines which world: normal, nether or the end. If there isn’t a symbol, it’s from the creative world.
- The name in <> brackets is the faction name. Colour determines your alignment to that faction. Friendly, allied at war etc …
- A players name. It’s colour determines what permission group he is in:
- White = Default
- Gold = Movecraft
- Yellow = WorldEdit
- Purple = Trusted (Includes most permissions)
- Teal = Operator
Exa Hardcore
Welcome to the world of pain and suffering. Or great accomplishments.
To get here follow the signs from the spawns to the Temple of Life and Death. Once there. Take a leap of faith.
This isn’t Minecraft Hardcore hard. This is different.
First of all, a word of caution. Don’t underestimate this world. Always go as prepared to an expedition as you can. Stock up on everything. Get every potion every armor and every enchantment that you can. At least get plain leather armor, it will save you life.
And your life is percious. More about that further down …
Extra Hard Mode changes a lot about the experience in minecraft. You can’t just mine stone with stone for instance … luckily it tells you what you should look after. Just follow the insturctions and you’ll learn all the nifty challanges this brings.
Infernal Mobs … are deadly mini bosses. They will totally smother you … or do you think you can take them down. Be prepared for all kinds of effects from them.
Arcade Combat … swing swing swing swing? No more. Block damage. Riposte for bonus damage, dodge and heavy attack.
Bleeding, you may get cut. Bring paper with you to stop the bloodflow.
DEATH
It will invertibly happen. And now? You become a ghost! You will be in standard minecraft spectator mode.
Use the 1 button on your keyboard to teleport to other players. Click on them to view the world from their viewpoint.
So is this it? No.
-
For one you can always return to the creative world with /spawn
-
Other players can resurrect you with a special Item.
Use /ghosts to list all ghosts. Even if they are offline.
Use /ghost {name} to view information about that ghost. Like its death location. Works also on “ex Ghosts”, see how long you lived.
REBIRTH
Have a person craft the Soul Collector:
![]()
Have a rescue party get to the transfomation location of the ghosts. Secure the area and bring armor for the newly born child.
You don’t have to be at the death location but it’s strongly advised.
Use /ghost {name} to get its transformation location.
Use the Soul Collector while the ghosts is online. The ghost will be reborn in a new body where his old body once died. He will be invulnerable for a few seconds.
Enjoy your new life. And don’t waste it away like last time.
I would add this: There are also two time “zones” in the creative world. Past (medieval/fantasy) and future (modern times). You can access the future area through the Temple of Time and it’s Nether Portal system. (or by just warping there)
I think it would be preferable if people built modern stuff in the future area and medieval/dwarven/elf/fantasy stuff in the past area. Having a skyscraper next to a medieval castle just doesn’t look good
Oh, and please build relatively far away from other settlements. Distances look terribly short in the overviewer map. So don’t just start building outside a city wall just outside the rendering distance. Go a lot further to ensure a nice looking outcome.
@Lomsor Some strange effect (first blindness and then fire and explosions) suddenly lit our houses in fire. It destroyed both the mansion and dc’s house.
I’m not a huge fan of this particular effect…
Edit: it happpened again. I barely survived when I punched out all the flames…
@Lomsor I hear the mansion spontaniously combusted again…
Not a great addition to gameplay to use all our wood every day to fix it.
Edit: haven’t have time to take a look yet, but I hear all the super diamond armors were lost since they were on the armor stand that burned
And overall the destruction is worse than yesterday.
@Lomsor: we’ve found a resurrection bug that you can exploit to resurrect without doing anything. By quickly disconnecting and reconnecting you can trick the server into resurrecting you. Admittedly it’s been useful until we finally find some ghast tears…
How quick and when? Reconnect just any time?
As quick as the player can manage. I’m not sure if the speed of the reconnect is important, we’ve only confirmed that the trigger is the rapid connect and disconnect. As to when: when you’re dead, at any time. Initially we thought you needed to fly beneath bedrock until you are continuously killed, but that theory proved to be wrong.
Ok I fixed it. Seemed to be an issues with my script changing player mode too early on server join. Multivererse changes the gamemode of a player from the default of the server (creative) to the default of the map (survival). I added 5 ticks wait time before my script changes the players gamemod. It should work now.
Here’s the “Skript” Script by the way, if anyone’s intererested:

Well, I connected my new mine to the house underground, then discovered a skeleton horse down below. I was almost back with it to safety when it swam down a waterfall, and then I suffocated in a wall.
So. I’m dead (again), my equipement is down in the deep, alongside my newly found skeleton horse. Darn it.
I’m having a lot of Dwarf-Fortress-type fun…
Not sure if this as the same horse (that somehow survived) or a new one, but I got it up from the mine! \o/
What’s the recommended way of connecting to the server these days?
Standard Minecraft Client, newest version.
same as the first post address. I might be misunderstanding but otherwise nothing’s changed.
Ok just tweaked infernal mobs a little …
Was killed while in god mode …
