Well, technically no fail on your side. If it is as you said, then itās on them. And as I said earlier, the only rule that was even closely broken (imo) was the focus on campaign one, which I believe is very loosely based since your title was more focused on your studio

The rule in question as written in their FAQ is:
āAMAs need to be about something you have done, not something that you plan to do at some point or are in the process of doing.ā
Itās either a new rule, or the mods are just having a bad day. Just searching for ākickstarterā in /r/iama brings up tons of AMAās just like INSā AMA.

The hypocrisy are strong in the ama
A lot of them are AMAs about projects that have already been fundedā¦ but there are definitely some done during the funding period. One I found was a recent as 2 months ago and at the time they were 70% through funding according to the OP. (And included a link to the KS)
They have theprototype, itās a thing that exists and questions can be asked about it. they should try to push the mods about that and maybe theyāll get something.

Maybe if we pooled our money together we could bribe them to keep it at the top of the sub.
Might be worth doing a KS update to say its been postponed / moved / cancelled when you guys decide how to proceed.
Eh, it was ok for an hour. No point in advertising āfailureā.
Try other things. You could have done an AMA on one of you personally, with the project just as a secondary thing.

Final words from the reddit mods is that we canāt do an AMA until the game has shipped in 2 years. Not much we can do.
Gaming amas have been done in /r/Games in the past. You might have success there.
Weāre not gonna do another attempt/risk a failure again. Reddit has been pretty clear, they donāt want us there. We donāt even have a clear picture of the conditions needed to satisfy an AMA, considering there are recent examples of other projects doing an AMA during their KS.
If it was a matter of making sure we were funded, they would have said so. But the answer implied it didnāt matter if our KS succeeded. Game shipped or nothing.

An AMA on a different platform might be useful still - lots of people seem to have questions. Dunno what would be best, IRC, Twitch, something else.
Itās /r/ama, that sucks though (/r/gaming liked you :P). /r/ama used to be a pretty cool place but itās been going down hill for a pretty long time though. Your answers were still appreciated
