The Wolf Game - SS Black Swan - Day 6 - Everybody Dies, Traitors Win

I’m thinking of taking a break from the mage/crazy mage RP… How about a rouge military AI?

Im sure you meant rogue but… lol

I have to pass this time… I just don’t have enough time in the coming weeks. If we had started this some weeks ago I would have had plenty of time.

Nope, I meant rouge. An obsessive compulsive super-averagely-smart AI that if pried off the layers of useless spaghetti logic you would find some sadistic programmer made all the core code in rouge coulored font… on a green background.

I have to pay more attention to my typing. I tend to follow one letter with another if it’s a commonly used letter after the previous one. But that didn’t happen this time. Nope. I meant to put that “u” directly after that “o”. Yep. Nooooo question about that.

So yeah, I’ll play as a rouge rogue military AI. I played as a wireless router once, so this should be fun.

I really need to stop my navy installing rogue military AIs in their ships. It’s bad for morale and causes all kinds of problems…

All in favor of LucasFIN being one of the day 0 deaths, say aye.

Aye.

Cap’n Barney stumbles outside of his cabin

“Let it be so…More rum for me anyways.”

I’m in.

I should probably spend my time doing more useful things… but I guess they don’t matter anymore.

Hi all, and yes…

I’m in.

Just a friendly note to everybody new to the wolf game. Make sure to say something on the first day. I’ve noticed a trend from earlier games, mostly justified IMO, that the new guys are eliminated asap just because they say that they’ll play but don’t post after the sign in. For your own safety, play the game day one.

You say that, but in the last game Aquila made it to the final few days, despite her lower activity.

All the same, it doesn’t really matter if you’re new or old, make sure you speak at least once a day, don’t vote without a good reason (that reason can be “I have no reason” if you can justify it), and most importantly don’t trust anyone, even (especially) if you know them IRL.

Can’t wait for the game to start. I’ve been slowcooking that stew for ages now…

Anyone got any other people they can poke with a game invite? Just two more!

Cybercritic was standing in the galley next to a status terminal, smoking his third cigarette as the screen flashed red with a intruder alert. He thought this contract job was going to be a nice and easy cash grab that should finally give him a few good months on some remote tropical island, away from all this highly technical and stressful core systems analysis. They don’t know and it’s better that they don’t, but once you are debugging deep inside the ship’s systems, there are very few things that are governed by the strict fail-safes and foolproof systems that the crew has to follow, his mind flashed to the aborted fuel dump he nearly caused a few hours back. His first thought was to save the encryption keys.

Alright, I thought that we should have some random number generator keys.

Here is our hash, it’s generated from Martin’s opening post.

A product of decades of research, the Ark project was the first of it’s kind successful enough to be admitted into small scale open world testing. Smart AI was proclaimed to be the weapon that would change the course of the war. And so it could be: capable of unimaginable power, hampered only by the “morality” of mankind, allowed only because of the greed of it. Capable, that is, until some miffed post-employee of Asius Inc. introduced a sub-routine that completely irradiated 99% of the AI’s higher functions upon being installed unto the Black Swan, turning a god into an equally miffed satirist.

A simple line of text appears on the status terminal some know-it-all was working furiously on creating encryption keys: {I like the number 2}

Yeah, I’ll have fun with this.

Captain Barney sipped on his vodka and tonic in the ships steel grey bar. He wondered why the military would need consulting from a civilian captain, but he didn’t care. The pay was good. Real good. He could afford afford to buy a bigger fishing boat when he got home as soon as this trip was over.

He knew these waters well - some of the best damn fishing in the world actually - and cursed himself for not bringing more of his gear. He silently hoped that he wouldn’t see the other reason these waters were famous…Cthul pirates…

Hey All,

I was really gonna let this one pass me by, but Enginish convinced me otherwise. I’m In. Last time it was just a bit overwhelming and took up a lot of time. This time will need to be an exercise in time management for myself. However, that all being said, I am tentatively excited. Lets do this!

Emperor Falkon woke roughly.

AWOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo

“Bloody incompetent sailors” he muttered to himself. The pride of his fleet was now stranded at sea, and he’d rose from his cabin to join the night watch. For a surprise inspection, this wasn’t a very good start.

AWOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo

The noise was like a jackhammer to his sleep-deprived brain, rattling his skull with every blast and instilling a sense of dire urgency. The shipboard AI was making glib remarks about the state of the vessel and being generally unhelpful, so the Emperor cursed the person who commissioned the blasted thing to take his mind off the pain sweeping through his head.

AWOOOOOOOOOOOOoooo

Finally, the Emperor scrambled up to the command deck to join the night watch, only for his face to drop. The entire cabin crew had been murdered. The night watch commander was checking over the bodies and removing them from their consoles, but the white look on his face suggested that he was going to need some help on rectifying the situation

AWOOOOOOOOOOOOo-BOOMphh

A near miss sent a massive wave over the foredeck, briefly immersing it in angry, frothing water. The situation became clear to the Emperor. The ship had been infiltrated by enemy agents to disable her and make her visible to the enemy fleet. They were in great peril, and he was in even greater peril if they discovered his identity. Best that he remain just a crewmember for now.

I think that passes for RP, no?
