Neptunes Pride 2 : Triton - Discussion and Community Games

That might be an AI led empire. As I recall there was one slot left according to Lomsor, so I think it is AI.

Negative. There was one left but it got filled up … there is someone … something out there in our galaxy …

…who will raise the mighty cornbread empire to a new golden age…

Dun dun duuuuuuuun!

Get it? Cornbread? Golden age?

lol Whats wrong? Okay, so maybe the joke was a little corny…

Okay, noob question, Do you get paid every 24 hours? Is that how this works?

oh gaaad we’re all going to die

Yes. When the production timer reaches 0. I think.

Well, as far as I understood the tutorials, yes.

/me brandishes newspaper  :newspaper:

Yes, once every 24 hours.

No need to get a crumby attitude over it.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I think I’m getting a hang this.

The famed newspaper, uh?
grab pop-corn and watch

If possible, try to upgrade economy right before Production time (so you keep the cash in reserve for urgent purchases) and industry right after (so it can begin creating ships immediately).
Which is right past midnight for me, so farewell good resolution to sleep early.

Thanks for the tips. I’ll heed them when I have cash again. I thought that for the first day, I had little to risk, so spent it all already. Plus now I have planets that require financial help to get going…

I’ve also started my first looping carrier run. That should help with fleet buildup in case I get attacked.

Thanks, ThronEel.

So It doesn’t matter when you get the economy upgrades, as long as it is done before the 24 hr mark?

Looping carrier run? Does that pick up ships that were produced on the planets it is looping around?

Okay, so carriers can have multiple waypoints. For each of these you can set what it is supposed to do there under edit. Default is to always collect all ships. And then there is a looping button, meaning it will begin the run again once it is through. Looks like this:

I’m using it to ferry ships to my borders for now, especially as the new planets lack any construction installations yet. Though that one loop takes 34 hours, so it will still take a while.

EDIT: Hm, I probably should have hidden the sensitive information… oh well, good thing I’m not paranoid, right? Right?

I feel a cold war setting in. Hope it doesn’t heat up too soon.

Is there a reason for the 1h delay between each jump? Unless it’s to synchronize your ships, you don’t need it for them to perform their action at each star.

About combat :
When there is a battle, each side (defender first) destroys its weapon level (+1 for the defender) of enemy ships, repeating until one side lost all its ships.
Unless you need the one ship that can’t be dropped out, carriers bring nothing special to a fight. If a carrier is brought to 0 ship in combat, it is destroyed.
Given that, there are quite a few conclusions I’ll let you draw by yourself

I thought it might be nice for catching it should I require a manual flight. Might take it out sometime in the future, but for now it doesn’t matter.

@hrobertson: Bloodthirsty, are you? You’ll not get anywhere with that ship…

EDIT: So the first production round is done. I need more money! I wasn’t even able to buy the bare necessities this round… :stuck_out_tongue:

I think that you can order your ships around the hour they arrived - though it may be too short for you, and you should test it as I’m not 100% sure.

Aaaand now Lomsor cornered me and I have no stars to expand left. Well, this is going to be a fun game.

I think I sent it before you even captured that star. Can’t remember. Anyway, it won’t do you any harm.

I’m not bloodthirsty at all. I’d rather we all just lived in peace but I don’t think that’s how this game works.
