Are you sure you’re not Mr. Jafo in disguise?

Your way with words. . . it is so eloquent.

Hmm, he might be Mr. Jafo. Yes, hmmm.

Great, this website is. If interested in speaking like yoda, you are.

One of the most interesting concepts for a video game I’ve ever seen.

I’ve already pointed out the Extra Credits channel (remainder : if you are even remotely interested in videogame and game design, watch it), but they also just finished the second of their miniseries on history.

The first one was about the most epic tale in History that no one seems to know about.
The second one is also something you won’t hear much at school - how the madness of WWI ever started.

Apart from learning fascinating History (which shouldn’t be underestimated), they bring it not as dry names and numbers, but as gripping stories about people and their struggles, as would do a good storyteller. In fact, I also recommend those as material for writers.

As constrained by the medium, they have to remain concise and may not dig as deep as, say, a book or an entire movie would. But they do a pretty great job at managing within those constraints anyway.

So even if you are not interested in History, then watch them as stories of the past, you won’t be disappointed.

Here is an interesting game that recently survived the kickstarter campaign.

For whatever reason, I think this song is a particularly awesome piece.

Just came out today:

I love the way they show nanotechnology at work – although with a bit of required artistic liberty…

Now that was awesome.

I particularly like how it gives a glimpse of a completely different society, with far-futuristic technology but whose exact purpose and capabilities are unclear. This creates a future that is actually alien, but with still distinct ties to our times - as would be our world for someone from a previous century.

Actually, I’d say it works particularly well because of the brevity. This is what allows it to be give this believable “alien future” impression so well, without having to overstretch it or make it artificially understandable (with, say, wall of text, exposition dump, contrived character motivations…).

I wonder, though - did ESA pick a new PR team? They seem to have shifted up a gear with Rosetta.
