Like I said, on the “Sidebar” (the right side when you’re on the www.reddit.com/r/iama) there is a “Click here” link to schedule an AMA. It PMs the mods with some default form stuff filled out.
Also, remember what I said about scheduling it around 10AM-12PM EST. Anything posted from like 5PM-7AM has half the chance of reaching /r/all, historically.

Also should basically take the introduction thing to say you’re making a game, and talk about YOURSELVES. People want to know you. You want something where they can emphasize.
Say how Flavien worked on the engine for nearly a decade in his spare time before you all could get a more complete engine together to make this happen.
Look at other popular AMAs and how their opening posts are, particularly for games. It’s something you just have one chance to get right @INovaeKeith and you can always ask the subreddit moderators for advice, I think.

I’m thinking of doing an AMA this Saturday. My understanding is I just create one and it either goes or it doesn’t. Here’s my rough draft:

Bio:
On Sunday, October 25th one of our fans posted on /r/gaming that images from our game gave him a space boner. Shortly thereafter over 500k of you seemed to agree. Ask Keith Newton, former engine programmer at Epic Games and CEO of I-Novae Studios, about their new game Infinity: Battlescape and the incredible homegrown tech behind it.

I-Novae is relatively unknown, I don’t see anyone coming there just for them (except us) … I can see a timetable makes sense when you are a celebrity, but other then that …
Not it doesn’t need to be on it, and yes there can be multiple AMA’s going on at once, but it doesn’t hurt to have it up there so people who are interested (people who potentially saw the boners post) can think of questions to ask.
Just a suggestion. I just want to push publicity out as much as possible.
I was just asking because picking an optimal time of day has in my opinion a higher priority.
Although … half a million people saw that … so maybe you may indeed have a point.

Oh absolutely yes, agreed. It looks like I was wrong in my post, for /r/iama, it’s best to begin at around 2-3pm EST unlike most other subreddits where it’s best to post in the morning. Probably because /r/iama relies on people actively asking questions.
Ok so remove the boner meme and kick it off at 2pm, is everyone on board with that? I can post an update to our KS and twitter tomorrow if we’re good.

Just to mention it, there will be League of Legends world final this Saturday, starting from 1PM (european, I don’t know how’s that with EST). It should last about 2 hours, 3 max.
There may be a quite less people than expected (especially the gamers) available than usual during the finals.
Nobody cares about the league of whatever.

I honestly don’t even know what it is bro. It always sounded like one of those games geared for the nerdy adolescent who never came out of their room.
Um dude, League is a thing and mobas have one of the highest and most diverse playerbases out there. Space sim is the nerd game here hands down.
