Travel to space in virtual reality Real Footage (Kickstarter)

A weather balloon will carry 12 HD video cameras up to a 30km altitude in order to reconstruct an immersive ride to space viewable in the Oculus Rift in real time and other cool things.

You could fly to space (virtually) for £6… (or using a monitor/smartphone £4/£5 respectively).

What do you think?

I think some guy once did a parachute jump from 15% further up than they’re planning to go?

Hardly “the edge of space”, really, if almost 2% of the atmosphere is still above you. On the other hand, if you have an Oculus Rift anyway, £6 may well be worth it.
