I think its more unrealistic to make them just plain white, but I’m no scientist.
…not beams… …only one frequency… …designed to kill, not be novelty toys… …don’t show up in space…
Tired argument is tired. White blaster shots look different and cool. Bright red/green/whatever show up EVERYWHERE. 
They aren’t even white. They are cream.
I think a subtle colour change would be enough to show a difference in the prototype. For instance take the base colour and shift it slightly towards cyan and another towards magenta.
Also. I think everyone that has a red box is an enemy and everyone that has a green box is an ally. No need to know what team you are in in that case.

Right, white color is unrealistic. But “slow 10-meter beams of light” are unrealistic too. BTW, the plasma-sphere is not related to any Light-Amplification-by-Stimulated-Emission-of-Radiation Stuff 
I can’t tell from any of the videos, but if you modify the weapon colours like this does it also affect the colour of the dynamic lighting?
I think so.
Back on topic:
What I ideally would like to see in the next livestream:
- Team-colored lasers
- A team vs team battle
- A new planet (blue sky, stone/ice/snow world, thick atmosphere, basically like the ice planet in Interstellar)
Obviously these suggestions are super work intensive and therefore probably unrealistic
