The Wolf Game - Murder Party - Day 5 - Infiltrators and Nafen win!

I’m In

I am a member of the “Worldwide Operations” team. Worldwide operations is the source of many grand schemes and convoluted plans that all seem at least a little far fetched and are usually significantly more expensive than necessary. When I can’t talk an operational head out of using a fighter jet for making a dead drop it is my responsibility to make sure that the jet is fueled, armed and ready for combat… and have an extraction plan ready for when they invariably stray into enemy territory, get shot down and find themselves stranded in the Himalayas.

My office door reads: W.O. Logistics & Finance

Paging @LucasFIN @xamino @mattk50
@TigerFang @Cise @Magellanic
@NobleBrutus @Ovog @Pendrokar @hrobertson

Been a while since we’ve had a game, what do y’all say?

Noble Brutus glanced down at his pager, it had been the secret signal! Emerging from the undergrowth he pranced towards the bunker entrance, his police officer badge glistening brightly. "Weird place for a party? he thought, but still, business was business.

I’m In <- Edit : As RP only
Though I guess it depends on when the game starts as I go on holiday for two weeks on the 28th. If not enough time I might roleplay along cluelessly without a role or vote if the GM doesn’t mind :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry to post so much, but @martindevans how do you feel about a minimum post requirement like was used on the Mafia Universe game that @Enginish just completed? They used a minimum of 10 posts per day (game phase), which I think is a bit excessive, but something like 3 posts per day seems reasonable to me. What does everyone else think?

Another one of these ceremonial gatherings we do, thought cybercritic as he put out his cigarette by the back entrance, he wondered if they would recognize him, it has been a long time since one of these spectacles. He should have just stayed undercover, deep undercover, where it’s nice and cozy, dealing with the world’s underground, having a good night and pleasant shootout from time to time. And now this, someone killed the boss, this is going to be interesting and exhausting…

Unfortunately two weeks might be cutting it a little close and it would really suck if you had an important special role and had to leave. Feel free to RP in the thread but please make sure not to contribute to the actual game - it kind of throws things off a bit if there’s an invulnerable confirmed human from day one!

If someone else needs to drop out of the game and needs a replacement feel free to poke me - we’ll be better able to judge how the game is going at that point

Excellent idea. One post per day requirement with one warning before you are killed or replaced.

Yeah, I’ll just do flavour roleplay then you can kill me off randomly :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a long weekend planned, starting the 18th. I’ll probably be able to post, but you never know. I’m going to Cedar Point with family+friend. Lots of roller coasters. Barely any posts. :frowning:
We’ll see…

Okay, I’m back from my championship adventure. Very ready for a more relaxed and slower placed game.

“Gentlemen, attention please! I’d like to present my latest invention.”

Thomas Enginish’s glasses sat crookedly on his face, and his hair was unkempt. An oversized, coffee-stained lab coat hung loosely about his shoulders.

“Every agent here knows the value of a concealed knife, but as I’m sure you’re all aware, MI7’s standard switch falls a bit short in some vitally important areas.”

It was clear he hadn’t slept in days.

“For instance, the toothpicks you all carry around sport unacceptably poor performance against critical threats like bears and lightly armored vehicles. I imagine some of you would even be hard pressed to cut down a proper-sized tree with your knives.”

He grinned maniacally.

“All of these problems have been solved.”

Thanks, but not this time – kind of busy right now and couldn’t put enough effort into the game to play it fairly. That said, that would be perfect for a wolf role… I’ll be reading along though, have fun everyone!

Well hopefully it will be entertaining. (Knowing martin, it’ll be absolutely crazy probably >__>)

Knowing Martin, I’d be disappointed if it wasn’t. :stuck_out_tongue:

Time flies eh, happy to see this small communitty hasn’t forgotten me (at least the small part I knew).

Sure thing, I’m in. (I’ll do a bit of catch up and then post the rp post, just reserving my seat)

Oh well you know I did have a totally vanilla game with no special roles planned. But since you asked so nicely…

Please don’t even make jokes like that!

I think I’m about done with role-less games.

I wouldn’t mind grabbing one of those slots, if you’ll have me. I’m in.

Scrawny, old, and with a slight hobble, “Support agent” - Technician - Megarith walks the main hall of the base.
He barely registers when the staff member enteres the room and even when the news break he is nothing more than slightly surprised. It’s not that he doesn’t particularly care about the spymasters’ death, it’s just that he and his four predecessors have all declined his applications for InOps Agent status. And Field Agent status.

“Another one bites the dust.” he whispers in a husky, aging voice.
“Who cares?”

Megarith reaches his part trolley, puts the empty plastic wrapper of cable ties into its little trashbin, and pushes it along.

“It’s not like anyone would notice if I died.”

Ok so how long until we begin? Enginish and I can hound a few friends of ours for that 15th player if that’s all we need to get this murder party started.

Espionage isn’t romantic. It’s gritty hard work. For hundreds of years this art has been perfected and culminated in the newest breed of techniques, technology … and agents.
One only has to look at the fine tools that have gathered today. Amidst the tall, handsome and beautiful agents one can also find the ones that do … everyday work. Here they look out of place, out there they might not even exist, nobody cares if they appear or disappear, because they always do.

I am one of those. A tool like everyone else. Just a lot more generic. I am what the job requires me to be.

As I pass the restrooms on my way to … where I was guided … I caught a glimpse of my own reflection. Long white hair … wrinkly skin … wearing a colorful Asian dress. Hmm … a little conspicuous but fitting the occasion.

As I closed towards the first staff I searched for my name … weird … there wasn’t one. Usually … well I can’t remember what is usually but one might think they would give me a name.
Wait. There is something.

“Hello. I am 6c-6f-6d.”
To this I added a smile that could only come from ‘someone like me’.

“Of course.”, was the reply. Followed by a friendly gesture towards the crowd.

I, somehow, recognized some of the crowd. Quite some royalty here …
On the edge of my vision I registered some blinking.
Weird … did that blue box just flirt with me?
