I wouldn’t mind the fluff being separated from the grain. I do however mind people saying there opinions of fun should roll over what other people think.
Using a computer to wast time on a space game. Grow up.
Do something useful, what are you twelve?(!!)

If you don’t get the joke then please ignore this.
I guess I under-estimated how much people value those threads, or that they are valued at all.
I offered my opinion based on the assumption that no one would miss them and the forum would be slightly tidier for it.
They’re not doing me any harm - if people derive fun from them then I’m not going to campaign for their removal!
After giving things a little thought, the Latest page would be best served, in my opinion, by having the first 8 slots reserved. The first 4 would be stickies, and include the forum rules, a community primer for new members, the Infinity/Battlescape/INovae FAQ, and a dedicated Kickstarter thread. The remaining 4 would show the latest developer posts, or the latest posts from the Development category. Everything thereafter would be a free for all.
Obviously, that would take a fair bit of time and work, but I think that would strike a good balance between real information and the kind of crap the peanut gallery gets up to.
Nice improvment However, i am browsing on a 4/3 aspect monitor (its part of an eyefinity setup of three, some of you may remember a picture of it from the ICP days…) and the menu at the top is slightly too wide for my screen width (1280 pixels). Any chance you could shrink it slightly, or even better, make it dynamic?
