Back in '15 I backed the project ($75) on kick-starter before it was a success. I don’t think I ever got an e-mail giving me info on how to acquire my pledge rewards. How do I go about doing this, what information do I need to send I-novae?

Welcome! A quick Google tells me the $75 tier is Alpha access level. Unfortunately, Alpha has not yet been released (it has been delayed for various reasons and INovae want to release a product with all the gameplay bones in place for it - see weekly updates for more)!
There are however Alpha access weekends happening sometimes so keep an eye out for those! The next one should be shortly after the next dev patch release (which is due Soon).
The only thing you need to do is make sure you are registered on this forum with the same email address you used to pledge on Kickstarter!
When the alpha backer weekend happens, go to this site:
https://inovaestudios.com/Battlescape
and log in (upper right corner). If you pledged at the alpha level, you should see a download button, at least at the time of the alpha backer weekend. If nothing happens then, you can contact them using the link right next to the login button. They have a great history of sorting out any issues like this, and they’ve also extended the weekend in the past to ensure that people that want to play can do so (as long as it’s not too long).

I guess you haven’t been reading them as they have contained information about the delays and about the alpha access weekends. To be clear, I’m not criticising, just interested in how many people have been missing out on the updates and wondering if you are able to give any insight into why 
They are sent as Kickstarter emails as well as being posted here on the forum.
