Nice, looks like it is on the way to the top.
I watched the imgur visits for a while, this post delivered thousands of views to the imgur album and the kickstarter is active again. Nice job!
Its first place now!!!
Awesome! With the numbers now its likely staying a day on the frontpage and the imgur album probably will get 250k to 1m hits. Lets hope the conversion rate picks up!
Great but is the kickstarter link there somewhere?

Just to follow-up my earlier post… Kicktraq shows Infinity doing better than I feared, but with daily pledges averaging at maybe $5.5k (ignore what Kicktraq says), it seems it’s only going to barely reach the $300k required. (We can hope for a surge of pledges in the last few days or more, as often happens with Kickstarters, but that isn’t guaranteed.)
With Infinity at the midway point of the Kickstarter (traditionally a low point), I think something big is needed to help push moment. You don’t want to leave it too late, as news takes time to spread.
Kicktraq ‘days’ aren’t correct. For accurate daily stats check out my daily posts in the Kickstarter Milestone and Excited Keyboard Bashing Thread.
On Kicktraq ignore the trend, just look at the prediction tab: https://www.kicktraq.com/projects/309114309/infinity-battlescape/#chart-exp-projection
As someone who’s followed a whole bunch of kickstarters, both astoundingly successful and miserable failures, the panic going about at the moment is pretty funny.
@hrobertson
The experimental Projection tab (not “prediction”!) shows about what I was predicting manually in my previous post - that at current rates it will just about reach minimum funding levels ($300k). I stand by my post. Not sure what is supposed to be wrong with “Kicktraq ‘days’”.
@Naiba
Who’s panicking? Not me
Heh, replied to your post rather than the whole thread by mistake, my bad.
For a bit of context, the Elite: Dangerous kickstarter looked fairly grim at the half way stage:
Interesting that they chose 60 days instead of 30 days (honestly I thought the point of Kickstarter was that all campaigns were 30 days), but they were asking for a lot more money.
We’re currently 46% of the way through the Battlescape campaign and have 63% pledged.
46% of the way through Elite’s campaign they had only 51% of their target pledged.
No implications. Just numbers.
If we’re to make statistics, let’s also put them in the context.
E:D asked for 1M250$ as a minimum funding goal, whereas I:B is asking 300k$.
More numbers. Still no implications.
That’s pounds, which is almost USD$2mil.
E:D also had connections and it’s name.
Comparing with Elite Dangerous seems kinda pointless: They have a big well-known game name (Elite), they have good contacts with the BBC (going so far as to be mentioned multiple times on TV), and they had a funding target which was far far larger. They also had a lot of money (compared to INovae) to use on advertising & the Kickstarter itself. They even got Chris Roberts to mention them in a video (and vice versa). Comparing apples with oranges isn’t very helpful.
Everspace is a better comparison:
BTW, this is quite informative:
Especially this graph (although I suspect the error bars would be quite large):

I think you’re reading more into my post than necessary. I simply gave that project as an example of how most Kickstarters have a mid-term lull. Something that your chart also shows.
Finally got to pledge, if not to the amount I would have preferred. Better late than never, right?
