Inquisitor Flavien 203270234.M47: My investigation into the taint of chaos has led me across the system to the forge world Kalia IV. I will proceed to interrogate forge workers tonight to narrow down the source of the stench of chaos which pervades this system.

Inquisitor Flavien 203280234.M47: The interrogations have been… disturbing. I sensed a strong taint of chaos in the room but none of my subjects showed any of the usual signs of contact with chaos - no indications of heretical thoughts. Autopsies revealed nothing unusual. They are completely baseline humans - no hidden psykers, no undeclared genetic enhancements.

Inquisitor Flavien 303290234.M47: An overwhelming psychic presence is here, in this facility! Powerful thoughts of chaos and heresy flow through the air. It takes all my psychic powers to just barely resist the call of the warp. A chaos sorcerer is here, somewhere in this facility, undoubtedly he has already captured some weaker minds and turned them into agents of chaos. I have sent out a general distress call but I do not know if I can hold off such power for long.

Lifesigns Terminated. Automated Broadcast Beacon Activated - 303310234.M47

Automated Response 303320234.M47 - Chaos Sorcerer responsible for destruction of 3 hive worlds in Ultima Segmentum. Exterminatus fleet inbound. T-6 Days.

An inquisitor has been killed and a chaos sorcerer is on the loose on Kalia IV! In 6 days a fleet of the imperial navy will enter orbit and bombard the planet, destroying the sorcerer and any unlucky enough to be on the same planet. There is only one way to survive, catch all the chaos heretics and kill them before the fleet arrives!

All Players should have received role PMs, contact me ASAP if you have not. Even if you’ve already read your PM, go and read it again - I edited some extra information in to some of them.

It Is Now Day

Day will end in 48 hours

Topperfalkon fingers his tarot deck idly. The news of the Inquisitor’s death bode ill for everyone on the planet. Worse yet, the great Imperium is sending an Exterminatus fleet to flush the seeds of Chaos before they take deeper root. He must act quickly to help determine who is spreading such heresy in this place, because frankly the thought of annihilation didn’t sit that well with him.

There was a problem, however. Generally, a psyker should be able to tap into the Warp to divine meaning from the Tarot deck and read successfully, but his ability to safely touch the Warp was limited because of the strong Chaos influence. He was going to have to work on good old fashioned investigative work to get to the bottom of this. The thought of that made his bowels weaken…

@martindevans I’ve been hit!

A tech-priest to Lor’s left nervously scratched at his beard. He smelled potently of myrrh and motor oil.
“This would explain much. Something has been agitating the machine spirits. They require a certain amount of …spatiotemporal stability, as it were, and the presence of such a powerful sorcerer would make fulfilling such a demand impossible. How can they be expected to properly operate complicated machinery if there are local changes to the metric tensor?”
The priest gesticulated wildly.
“Chaos corrupts all it touches! Only by finding this creature and exterminating it will the spirits be satisfied!”
The priest continued, but Lor shifted his attention. He picked up a bit of refuse, turned, and threw it as hard as he could. As soon as it left his hand, his implants tagged it and overlaid a predicted parabolic trajectory.
Watching it carefully, he noticed it wobble precariously in flight. It traced out an odd corkscrew path, and it appeared to rotate about a center of mass about a foot away from it.

Spatiotemporal shenanigans were afoot. Mechanics was coming apart at its seams.

Lor does not like spatiotemporal shenanigans. He does not like it when his fancy implants don’t work. He decides to let the tech-priest worry about the consequences this would have on the area’s Lagrangian, and focuses his attention instead on his specialty: stamping out chaos.

“The crazies must be real”, thought Sky, an average land speeder pilot.

The last thing he remembered was joyriding through the deserts of good old HYT - 4X when the wind storm hit. The next thing he knew he was in an infirmary and the docs were telling him he was Sky1 not Sky. He may have had amnesia but he still knew his name damn it.

“Bullshit” Sky said but the docs continue their advance of craziness. Chaos can only be to blame here

ps @martindevans it would be great to get my role pmed to this account for the time being

Being an transmechanic was both good and bad. Good because most of the time people would leave you alone, fiddling with whatever job was assigned to you. Bad because whenever some unexplained deaths happened, all the officials come looking for you and won’t let you go until you tell them how they died and who they were exactly. Call that a “perk” from your sharp metal cutters and enhanced vision googles.

Well, at least for this poor inquisitor, may the Emperor have mercy on him, everybody knew who he was.

That doesn’t mean however that I shouldn’t investigate in this matter. The exterminatus has been declared, the space marines must be pretty scared of whatever’s lurking here. Better find quickly the herectics that performed this hideous murder before everyone dies…

Well I mentioned once before I don’t know much of anything about Warhammer but I’ll try to keep up.

Cosmos noticed a work order come in to the Janitorial station. “Remains of Inquisitor Flavien on sub level 3 in need of immediate decontamination”

He ignored the request, thinking “Surely there must be specialist around here for bodies and remains. I’ll let someone else handle it. There will be other messes to clean up. Chaos tends to lead to messes.”

You always hope when you try to do your part, when you try to serve humanity, that they would ask more of you than take out the trash or clean the blood stains off the wall. Being asked to be the clean up crew in the midst of a intergalactic battle for supremacy against total chaos can be a little discouraging.

You quickly gain an understanding of the futility of your actions. The wafting ammonia may dull your thoughts long enough to ignore the fact your picking up chunks of a dead psychic’s “oh-so-illustrious” brain matter, but it’s impossible to escape the fragility of it all. No cleaning solution can truly wipe the horrors from your memories

“I’ll just get the next one”, He mumbled to himself.

Here’s a few links that will be almost more then enough to have an idea about 40k universe

That being said I’m no ordinary madman, and I don’t have enough time to write a paragraph so I’ll be back later.

You could see it in peoples faces, since the message came in that an Exterminatus fleet is only days away from Kalia IV, the mood around the Crimson Wolves’ barracks and facilities darkened up more then it usually did … and it usually was damn grim.
Just as morale seemed to tip over the Chapter Master called for a mass assembly.

It was a glorious speech that reinvigorated everyone with purpose. From the Chapter Masters description it was clear why the Empire decided to rather risk sacrificing us then letting this destructive, uncontrollable evil devour our souls. No, it was even the better, what honour would it be, to exterminate the cause for these Chaos infiltrations throughout the sector once and for all. To avenge the hundred of thousand of lives this heresy took. This world will burn, one way or another!

I called uppon …siah for guidance … silence … there wasn’t ambiguity … randomness in these events. These are wordy problem, problems that can be solved with steel and power. But may the siah be with me in the coming days for when I would need the truth. the truth that nothing can be ever known …

Orders came in … to ready the war machines … we will find the heretics and may it be with the full might of the empire … this world may burn indeed.

Walton forced himself to ignore the continued groans of the machine spirits; though he could not begrudge them their discomfort, he could ill afford the distraction it would present in the long run.

Chaos. Here. It explained so much. No doubt, somewhere on this world, their twisted mockeries of the Omnisiah’s holy works prowled; the mere thought made the enginseer’s blood, what was left of it, boil. His dendrites twitched in sympathy, displaying his agitation to the world.

He turned to his servo skull.

“Find them,” he commanded, a note of affection entering the electronic chittering as he regarded the loyal little machine. “Ferret them out, that I may dismantle them and put an end to their technoheresies.”

Soooo… anybody want to start the lynching? Or are we just going to RP? :stuck_out_tongue:

@martindevans On this note, are role play make sense wise weapons going to be banned from the RP text? Because it would make sense for most people to literally start blasting eachothers’ faces in at the first hint of heresy. So clear answer on the “do we all have guns or do we all not have guns” question. But until then. I will stroke my magnificent laz-rifle while giving someone the mad cow eye.

The masked soldier of the Imperial guard keeps his goggles in a scanning motion. Pausing here and there at the extra odd looking person. Namely anything with living parts. And anything without living parts. Especially those of non-xeno origins. He lets out a muffled groan as he rubs cleans dust off of his las-rifle, only occasionally pointing it at someone who would look at him.

Finally giving into the temptation to speak he turns to the Commissar and lets a harsh coarse voice loose through his gas-mask

“I suppose you don’t have any good idea who it is that I should shoot is it? No, figures. You lazy louts from planets far wealthier then mine never have any idea of sacrifice. If you were half as sane as most of my people, you would let the exterminataus happen just so we could be done with the heresy on this planet. But I bet you cowards only think of /resources/ and /the people/ rather then ***GLORY FOR THE EMPORAH!***”

He would monologue giving the stink mask towards @Arkenbrien

You may have as many RP weapons as you like… However there seems to be something a bit wrong with the targeting array at the moment making you miss all your shots

What do you mean? That’s normal. All quality Imperial goods have a mandated 19-20 to shoot at where you’re pointing roll.

Yeah, this has to get going eventually. I’ll start: @Juno, you’re getting my vote until you say something
