If you guys haven’t seen it yet, SpaceX released a video from one of their fairings reentering. It’s pretty cool to see Earth like that.

Unfortunately no flames :frowning:

I like this trend of strapping gopros to spacecraft

I guess now we know what SpaceX intends to do with its “second hand” rockets… Satellite wifi Internet for the entire world, achieved by ~4k LEO communication satellites.

And a pretty picture.

For a second there I thought the pylons were simultaneous rocket launches all at once and I got a little too excited.

Nay, they are lightning rods! Florida attracts thunderstorms for some reason

The new droneship has just departed on to get into position anticipating Sunday’s CRS-7 launch and landing attempt. I’m going to the mountains this weekend and will be driving home all day Sunday so I’m going to miss it sadly. I hope they’re successful this time around!

They’ve been working on improving them as well. This article covers the drone ship history in full, however you can scroll to the bottom for some quick facts on the improvements being made to the latest ships.

Let’s hope the weather holds up out there (last report I read was somewhat windy and wavy) and we finally have a successful landing attempt! If things go all right I’ll be watching live. I’m excited either way already, the pause between launches was really way too long.

I need my dosages!
