I don’t agree with the $50k amount. First off Keith was at a stage where he was basically living on KFC, around the time he ran out of savings. Also in a private chat on Skype, he revealed that he is prepared to stay on IA’s couch if the KS doesn’t raise enough cash for premises. Premises are a different issue and I will leave that for later discussion.

My point being that I would rather have Keith sleeping on IA’s couch then them waste $100k on relocation of staff, something WD is not prepared to do anyway. If $25k can’t buy 2 devs KFC for a year, then switch to chicken licken :wink:

I would probably get a good laugh if there was a stretch goal where $100,000 was titled. “For our Subway food.” but whatever, we’ll see the budget when time comes.

No clue, but a commercial license alone for the latest UDK or Crytek engine would probably run that much. Except maybe for mobile game development.

I’m not interested in the license costs of Unreal engine. But rather a measure of what Keith’s money is worth. Would be nice if you could sell a license though.

Ditto. I finally found a job (a real, honest to goodness, paying job! No more catchup packets for me!), and am saving up for a sizable contribution.

All I can say is enjoy it. Just realise that your disposable income will decrease as you improve your standard of living.
