Recommend an IRC client? I don’t know if there are newer better ones available since I last used IRC years ago.
I’ve been using mIRC for about fifteen years now. It does the job, though I have a registered copy so don’t get the annoying nag screen.
icechat is pretty good. I use a hackey barely working standalone version of chatzilla though. Hexchat, xchat, other good alternatives. also kiwi irc and mibbit are good webclients for irc.
mIRC isn’t really great these days. In fact its horrible. But its good if you have it installed already and its what your used to.
I think Hexchat is the best irc client around.
